The Problem

  • Most local business websites are digital business cards: a logo, a phone number, and nothing else.
  • Google cannot rank a website with 500 characters of text and no keyword-targeted content.
  • Many businesses use builder templates with no SEO foundations.
  • Some businesses have no website at all and rely entirely on social media, which is not indexable by search engines.
  • Without location-specific service pages, blog content, and proper on-page SEO, the website will never appear on page 1.

Questions

Why doesn't my website rank on Google?
Most local business websites are digital business cards: a logo, a phone number and a few hundred characters of text. Google cannot rank a page with nothing to rank. Dedicated pages for each service and each location, proper title tags and headings, and answers to the questions people actually search are what earn page-one positions.
Do I need a separate page for every service?
Yes. A page titled "Emergency Plumbing in Denver" can rank for that search; a generic "Services" page cannot. Each service and each city or neighbourhood you serve should have its own page with real content, because that is what both Google and AI assistants use to match you to a query.
What is schema markup and does it matter?
Schema markup is structured data added to a page that tells search engines and AI systems exactly what a business is, where it operates and what it offers. Pages with proper LocalBusiness and FAQ schema are cited in AI responses about 3.2 times more often than pages without it.
I only have an Instagram page. Is that enough?
No. Social media profiles are not indexable in the way a website is, so a business that exists only on Instagram is invisible to Google search and to AI assistants for non-branded queries. A fast, mobile-first website with real content is the foundation everything else stands on.
